We work with these United Way Agency partners:
- TURN Community Services
Activity / Learning Center
Without United Way, we would not be able to keep our Activity/Learning Center open as often as it is now or help as many people in the community.
Human needs in Washington County:
There is a long waiting list for State and Federal Services for people with cognitive disabilities.
People with cognitive disabilities need a place they can relax and enjoy social opportunities as they maintain and/or learn independence skills.
Families can't always afford adaptive equipment or the teaching tools they need to help their children with disabilities. There needs to be a program where they can apply for financial assistance in these purchases.
Our Agency & United Way
"The Arc of Washington County takes pride in being a United Way Dixie partner as we address the unmet needs of people in our community with cognitive disabilities. Together we can make a difference."
