• Every United Way is independently owned and operated by a local Board of Directors.

• The National organization serves solely as a professional association and is funded by a voluntary contribution system totaling 1% of campaigns run by participating United Ways.

• The United Way Dixie operates and serves in Washington County.

• The United Way Dixie is governed entirely by the local Board of Directors and every dollar raised locally stays in Washington County. Since opening in 1994 United Way Dixie has raised more than $1.3 million.
