Equipment and support for families with disabled members
Without United Way Funding, a homeless, teen mother would struggle to raise her child on her own. A toddler with autism would slip into their own unreachable world.
Human needs in Washington County:
Parents in crisis with young children need parenting assistance to ensure that their child reaches her fullest potential.
Families with infants/toddlers with disabilities need family support, therapeutic instruction and each other to help their child reach his fullest potential.
Children need to be "kindergarten ready" by the time they reach age five.
